Who doesn't love a good pizza party? Honestly, me. That is, until now! This low-carb solution is uber delicious and festive treat. This recipe calls for pepperoni on top, but don't be afraid to go wild. Add some broccoli, sprinkle some parsley. Go crazy.
I don't care how healthy you try to make it, traditional pizza is just not a green light for my gut. Even the gluten free, keto or cauliflower crust creations are topped with so much cheese. Meatza is a much better choice for my digestion and low-carb lifestyle. The ground beef crust makes it uber moist and you don't even have to put on sparse amount of cheese if you don't want to.
I learned about Meatza from one of my clients. Which goes to show you that the teacher always has something more to learn.
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
20 ounces ground beef
2 large eggs
1/2 cup riced cauliflower
28 Applegate no-nitrate pepperoni slices
1/2 cup no-sugar pizza sauce (or make your own!)
4 ounces goat or sheep cheese
6 fresh basil leaves (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Combine the ground beef, eggs, cauliflower and seasoning
Place ground beef mixture into a cast-iron skillet or sheet pan to form into a pizza crust
Cook for 15 minutes or until the meat is done
Take out the (meat) crust and add sauce, basil leaves, cheese and pepperoni
Cook for additional time until the cheese is fully melted
